I'm Lucas M. Venturina Jr, and you can call me as Lucas. I'm an International student from the Philippines. For now, I do not teach here at Akron, I'm a full time student at the same time a Graduate assistant at the College of Education, under the supervision of Dr. Tsai, taking up Master's Degree in Instructional Technology. In the Philippines, I am a secondary (Middle School here) Mathematics Teacher and a part time math Teacher in college (High School here).
As we now, the trends of teaching strategies now is through the use of different technology which is nowadays become very accessible to the learners. In my chosen major (math) many students have less interest because they perception in math is difficult and hard. Through IT Master's Program, which is also my learning goal is that, through the technology my students in math will be able to give more attention on what is being discuss to them. Make math easy and fun through the use of available technology and let them appreciate the application of math rather than hating the subject, which can be achieve through the use of new and modern Instructional Technology.
